q. Where are you located?
a. I am available for photoshoots in Central Florida! Please see "Can you travel to me?" for information on travel shoots.
q. Do you have a studio?
a. In short, no. Most of my sessions are done on-location (parks, scenic spots, etc) and usually done with natural lighting. However, I have gear for studio photoshoots when requested in advance.
q. Can you travel to me?
a. Yes! I can drive to a location of your choosing, dependent on how many miles away it is. A travel fee of 10 cents per mile may be charged for any on-location sessions that are over 25 miles away from zip code 32766.
q. How much do your services run?
a. My prices are very reasonable. Pricing is dependent on a lot of factors (i.e. what type of photography you need, how many looks you'd like, or how far away it is.) Send me a message to discuss pricing!
q. How come I don't get unedited copies of the photos?
a. Unedited photos are like unfinished paintings. Without post-processing, the photos don't represent my photography style and can be misrepresented as part of my brand. I take a lot of photos during our sessions so I can get photos that represent the best of you, and the best of my work. Not all photos will have that spark. It takes editing/post-processing to really make a photo sing. Plus, if I give RAW files away, anyone can edit them and say that it was Velvet Moon Studios. Or they can claim the photo is their own work. It's a slippery slope and difficult to argue in court. That's why I strive to give you the best images to work with and share.
q. Can you make me a poster or banner for my event?
a. Most certainly! I work with clients to create promotional and marketing materials for events all the time. Feel free to email me at VelvetMoonJay@gmail.com.
q. How does the copyright and licensing work for the photos I purchase?
a. The images that are being provided to you are licensed to you for any reason personal, including but not limited to: printing, copying, emailing, and web publishing. Your license does not include use that results in financial gain, including but not limited to: advertising, stock photography, print sale profits, or resale of any nature. I retain the copyright to all images, per USC Title 17 (US Copyright Law). To learn more, view the Copyright and Licensing Notice. You'll receive a copy of the notice when you book your session.
